Navigating the On-Screen Menu

To display the internet browser menu: Back to top


  1. Press Triangle button to display the menu.
  2. Press Triangle button again to hide the menu.
  3. When the menu is displayed, the title and address for the current web page are displayed. You can also access other features and settings from the menu bar.

To enter web addresses: Back to top


  1. With the menu displayed, use the up and down buttons to select the address bar, then press X button.

    Or

    Use the right and left buttons to select File icon (File) and select "Address Entry," then press X button.
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the address for the web page you want to display. For more information, see Using the On-screen Keyboard.
  3. When you have finished entering the address, highlight the Enter button and press X button .
  4. The web page will display.

Using Internet Browser Controls

  1. Press Triangle button to toggle between displaying and hiding the menu bar.
  2. Select one of the following icons and press X button.

Return to the previous page.

Forward Icon
Forward
Display previously viewed pages. This options is only available after Back Icon has been used.

Refresh Icon
Refresh
Update the current page or cancel the loading of a page.

Home Icon
Home
Display the page that is set as the home page. To set the home page, see Tools Icon (Tools) below.

Bookmarks Icon
Bookmark
Use the bookmark feature. For more information, see the following "To add a bookmark" and "To open a bookmark" sections.

History Icon
History
View a list of previously displayed web pages and open one.

View Icon
View
Change text size, specify character encoding, or change display mode.

Tools Icon
Tools
Adjust internet browser settings (such as the home page; see the following "To set a homepage" section), delete cookies/cache/authentication information/input history, or display information about the internet access point (or hotspot) in use.

Help
Display the internet browser features that can be accessed or adjusted by pressing the buttons of the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system.

To add a bookmark: Back to top


  1. With the web page you want to bookmark displayed, select My Bookmarks under Bookmark icon (Bookmark) from the menu bar and press X button.
  2. Select Add to Bookmarks and press X button again.

To open a bookmark: Back to top


  1. Select My Bookmarks under Bookmarks icon (Bookmarks) from the menu bar and press X button.
  2. Select the bookmark you want to open and press X button again.

To set a homepage: Back to top


  1. Select Settings under Tools icon (Tools) from the menu bar and press X button.
  2. Select Home Page Settings and press X button.
  3. Enter the address of the web page you want to set as your home page, select OK, then press X button.

  • SSL icon
    Appears when an SSL-compatible page is displayed.
  • Busy Icon
    Appears when loading web pages.
  • Pointer
    • Arrow - Appears when indicating a location on a web page.
    • Hand - Appears when positioned over a link.
    • Pencil - Appears when positioned over a text entry field.
