He ain't no Richard Kahan... (okay so I want to see Richard as Topher, not Paul, but that's beside the point.)

I would imagine that ED would get approval on lead male? I mean she has done enough shows that I know I would have that stipulation in my contract.

They may be testing a good many males for roles due to chemistry. Sometimes you have to kiss alot of frogs to get the prince. We want a prince. I so want to keep a Joss show on FOX for a few seasons.

My TV viewing has been curbed now for the last 3 years.

This guy for Paul Smith, I can see him playing a F.I.B. guy, but I can't see Joss picking him for anyone. But I can see Eliza Dushku picking him lol.

I don't know who Paul Campbell is, but I read about the character "Victor" He kind reminds me of the character his looks I mean, but I hope he gets it. But want to see more guys lol.

All pretty faces, but somehow I imagine these characters in a different way. Can't say anything about their acting though.

Ian Anthony Dale looks like a better fit for Paul, while Paul Campbell looks like a better fit for Topher, if I went only after looks.

I know this sounds silly. But how do you audition / throw your name in to be cast in these shows? I never understood how some people, who have never acted in their lives, end up on these shows. In interviews they just go, "oh yea, I heard about the project and auditioned" SURELY it cannot be that easy....can it?? I'm just saying, Whedon-verse Idol?? :-D

I heart Paul Campbell, he was so great in BSG. I don't know if he sounds right for the part of Victor, but either way I'd love to see him on TV again.

The other guys I don't care so much about one way or t'other, but Ian Antony Dale looked really familiar when I looked at his IMDB page. Turns out he played one of the drugged up vamps in the back of the bar in the Angel episode 'Release'.

How most shows cast. They have a casting director who puts the sides or script auditions out to Agents who then read over the character descriptions and then submitt photos of clients to the casting director.

From that point the casting director if they want to see more may ask for a resume tape or ask for the actor to come read for them in person for the part.

Most shows dont have open auditions to actors without representation.

Just a little 101 class for those that asked how actors that have never been in a show get auditions.

Best thing is have representation. That is a agent who if they think you have talent will get a resume tape and photos for you. You dont pay them until you book a job and then they take a percentage of your earnings. They work hard to send you on auditions so you book jobs and make them money.
