Downloads
Here are some example packages you can try:
- Full Package Listing
- Inkscape - Inkscape is an SVG drawing program.
- Gimp 2.2.6 - The GNU Image Manipulation Program
- Gimp 2.0.6 - An older version for those who don't have GTK 2.4 or higher.
- Visual Dependancy Walker - A tool that shows ELF executables' library dependancies in a tree
- Qt Frontend - A Qt based frontend for autopackage to complement the default GTK based one
- AbiWord - Word Processor (Maintained by an AbiWord developer)
See also How to install Linux autopackages in 4 easy steps, a small instructions page.
Have fun testing, and let us know how it goes! By the way, you
can uninstall it all using either the "Manage 3rd party
applications" program put into your System Tools menu, or by
using the "package list"
and "package remove"
commands from the
console. To remove autopackage itself, use "package remove
autopackage"
. Your system is now back to how it was at the start
(assuming you uninstalled anything you installed with it).
Developer Tools
If you are a developer and/or packager that want to use Autopackage for your project, you need to download and install the Autopackage Developer tools. Visit the developer download page for more information. From that page, you will also find links to the relevant documentation.
