We're Almost There....
The recent trickle of volunteers arriving on convention grounds is slowly building to a deluge....vendors are setting up shop...last-minute preparations are being made...yes, EAA AirVenture is
less than a week away! Other than Camp Scholler, the first AirVenture facility to open for business is the Member Village Camper, located just south of the international flagpoles by South Maintenance. This facility was created to allow early arrivers and volunteers to check e-mails, join or renew memberships, learn about EAA programs, and a host of other services. If you're coming early, check it out.

Many building and refurbishing projects are taking place throughout the grounds. This crew is digging post holes and adding posts for fencing.
Miles and miles of snowing fencing will be installed this week. The kitchen volunteers start their day at 5:30 in the morning to prepare breakfast for hundreds of hungry volunteers. Five to six hundred AirVenture volunteers are fed each weekday during convention, and more than a thousand are fed on Saturday and Sunday. A volunteer waters one of the many flower pots and beds around the grounds. Approximately 21,000 flowers are planted throughout the grounds for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
