We have added banner in listing support for Blog Top Sites.

There was a slight bug in our Who’s Online tool where a few people were stuck on ‘2 Users Online.’

This has since been fixed - in the next week we are hoping to also introduce customization and also an AJAX view option

I can now say that the transfer over is fully finished. We are going to keep an eye tonight for the previous day stats processing, but even if it goes awry, we can now re-extract that data.

There was an unfortunate data error when processing the statistics for the previou day. While the tracking system worked flawlessly, unfortunately the processing system had a slight glitch, wiping out the previous day’s stats.

We apologize for this - we have already updated the system so that a glitch like that cannot happen again.

Whew - it is now 5:31 pm. We’ve been working since midnight (I did take a 3 hour nap), and I think the merger is finally 100%.

100% technically - we still need to roll out the new design and some other tweaks. Other than those nuances - Blog Top Sites.

The primary integration parts went very well - we did not lose a single hit. Previous code works just fine, even with all the blogs integrated into the Blog Flux Directory. Exhuasting? You betcha!

You can now change your category in the User CP, and get the updated HTML code (which works identical to the previous one - if it ain’t broke, don’t change it).

We’ve also added some powerful anti-cheating measures - these should start bearing fruit in a few weeks, and we should see fiendish pageview-stuffers slip down the toilet.

The site now has over 115,000 users.

Slight problems with Commentful as it strains under the load (15k+ links added in the first 48 hours). It should be fixed in the next 24 hours.

Acquired by us in January, we have spent a lot of time overhauling the site, making it faster, and adding new features. So if you’ve tried Commentful before but weren’t happy - I do suggest you try it again.

What Commentful does is make it easy to track blog conversations. RSS feeds are great to find out when a blog has a new post, but what if you want to track comments on a specific post?

Commentful solves that problem. Any time you visit a page where you wish to track comments, you add it to your Watchlist (this can be done through our FireFox extension, bookmarklet, or through the website). Every time you visit your Watchlist, the system checks to see if there are any new comments. For those using our FireFox extension, there is no need to visit the website - our extension adds a little image to your status bar. Whenever there is an unread comment, it turns green. We even provide an RSS feed if you wish to track it that way.

What makes Commentful powerful is both its approach and flexibility. Our simple approach means we only tell you that there are new comments - we don’t attempt to scrape them off the site. This keeps everything light and fast. For flexibility, we can track almost anything - from blog posts to YouTube to Digg to Flickr to del.icio.us to even message boards (vBulletin, phpBB, IPB, etc) and eBay! Very happy to announce that our Web Hosting Directory is now live. We have also released our uptime tracker, which lets you put your uptime on your blog.

We have suspended LinkLog for the time being. The code was not efficient enough considering its costs.

We will very likely bring it back as a Blog Flux Pro feature.
