It seems that Sega has had quite a successful week in the UK All Formats Charts with not one, not four, but three games in the top 10.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is still doing incredibly well, staying up at number 2 - beaten out by Gran Turismo 5: Prologue (much to my personal disgust - I hate the GT games).

Also despite some mixed reviews and opinions among fans/reviewers, Viking: Battle for Asgard is sitting a very respectable 7.

And just released, in Europe, is Condemned 2 - which jumps into the charts at a very cool fifth place.

But it doesn’t all end there Sega Nerds. While making the top 10 is the accolade companies like to aspire to, Sega has another 4 titles making it into the top 40.

Man throws a hedgehog and goes to prison

William Singalargh has impressed me by throwing a hedgehog at a 15 year old boy. He threw the hedgehog a unimpressive 16 feet.

William is due in court on April 16th and if he is convicted he gets five years in prison. But at least he can say he has been convicted for using a hedgehog as a weapon.

Now what we are all wondering, can you seriously hurt someone with a hedgehog? Well apparently not. The kid only got a large red welt and puncture marks.

Well, that was… different.

Sega just released this short CGI teaser trailer for Sonic Unleashed and well… I’m still not exactly sure what to say about it. So what does it tell us? Well it confirms that Sonic will turn into an angry werewolf at night, It also hints at dodgy voice acting. Oh and it confirms Sonic has fingernails which I’m sure will be a hot topic on any Sonic forum I’ll never go to.

On the bright side, if the werewolf thing turns out to be crap at least the other half of the game looks awesome, the glass is half full.

Kori-Maru loves Sega’s Fighters Megamix. So much so that he decided to try and make a Sega cross over game of his own, using the Mugen engine. He wants Sega fans to contribute to his project.

Do you have any ideas? Or game making skills? This also means artists, for background work and sprites.

If you think you can contribute, come and help on the forums here.

If you’ve recently played Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer and have been yanking your hair out in frustration, you might think about trying a much easier, albeit equally bad game instead. EBGames is currently selling Alien Syndrome for the PSP for only $10.

I actually had the displeasure in reviewing the title, and I can honestly say it’s not very good. However, for only $10, it might interest a few Sega Nerds out there who just don’t have a lot to play right now.

Full Auto 2

Pseudo Interactive, developer of the Sega-published Full Auto series, has shut down due to cutbacks at parent company SCi. Over 50 people were employed at the Toronto-based game developer as of 2006. The company was reportedly working on an unnamed project that has now been canceled.

Let’s hope those guys and girls find good jobs elsewhere.

I’m baaaaaaaack! After having to ride the bench last week due to my bratty newborns (just kidding, I love the kiddos), I’m back in action.

This week’s Nerdcast covers all the exciting Sega news that took place throughout the week, including Sega’s official announcement for Sonic Unleashed. We also talk about what we’ve been playing this week and even touch on a rather disturbing topic during the “It Came From the Forums” segment. Oh yeah, we also reveal who won the super grand prize of Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. But you’ll have to listen to find out who the winner is!
