| Theyyyyy're back! And George Mason even has two starters -- Folarin Campbell and Will Thomas -- left from the miracle Final Four run in 2006. Expectations for this March should be tempered well below that benchmark, but the Patriots have enough talent to make some noise in Round 1 as a double-digit seed. Campbell (15.9 ppg) and Thomas (15.8 ppg, 10.5 rpg) are the clear first two options, but watch out for John Vaughan (12.6 ppg), who sat out the 2006 season with a knee injury, and Dre (call me Trey) Smith, a 38 percent 3-point shooter who set an NCAA record by going 10-for-10 from the arc in a win at James Madison. GMU likes to play it slow, and they make you earn everything you get on the offensive end. The Patriots don't look to force turnovers, they don't foul, and they don't let you get offensive boards. Early in the season, the Patriots beat Dayton, Kansas State and South Carolina. They then finished second in the CAA and won the auto bid over William & Mary after the Tribe upset league champ VCU in the semis.
