Introduction
Crystal Chronicles may have been created as a bone to throw Nintendo, but luckily Square Enix hasn't given up on their Action-RPG spin-off, and they've even learned a few lessons along the way. That's right, no buckets to be found here, and there are separate multi-player and single-player modes that each do their thing well. Even the title, which evokes some of the worst clichés in the genre, is a bit misleading. You won't be traipsing about to the 4 palette-swapped temples to collect four magic crystals, nor does the story involve any kind of magic ring.
Nope, instead you get a classic mix of Zelda and Diablo with some meat on its bones. It starts off deceptively easy, but by the end, you may need us. Luckily, you know just where to turn.
