Who are we?
Updated: Mar. 16, 2008
See statement on contributions and finances below.
This website began as a joint effort between Hal Brown as editor, Joe Freitas (from Middleboro - there's another Joesph Freitas who is a Plympton selectman against the casino) as associate editor and Kathy Ryan and secretary and treasurer. Tony Lawrence wrote columns between 8/10/07 and 11/4/07
Kathy is no longer with the website and Joe is associate editor, emeritus, having retired from active involvement in the production of the website.
The opinions expressed here, unless in an OpEd, commentary or letter, are solely those of the editor and publisher, Hal Brown.
The website is independent from any pro-casino group.
The eagle feather was given as a token of appreciation to those who donated $50 or more.

I hope that this website can provide objective
information, as well as opinion and ideas about the planned Middleboro Mashpee Wampanoag tribe resort casino.
Financial and donation statement

At present all expenses are paid for by Hal Brown.

other donors. The primary expense was for Casino-Friend.com bumper stickers.
We made every effort not to accept donations from those
connected or affiliated with the the Mashpee Wampanoag or their casino
backers. We also made every effort not to accept donations directly or
indirectly from anyone who stood to make a profit from selling land to

donations to us through intermediaries.
