Karachi - In Pakistan thousands of people have demonstrated against the anti-Qur'an film by MP Geert Wilders and Danish cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad. The protest in Karachi was organised by a radical Islamist party. Demonstrators shouted "Down with Holland" and "Down with Denmark". National flags of the two countries were also set alight. Estimates of the numbers of demonstrators vary between 25,000 and 100,000.

On Sunday, Mr Wilders put an adapted version of his film Fitna on line. This version shows a photograph of the murderer of Theo van Gogh, Mohammed Bouyeri. The first version showed a the photograph of a rapper who looks like Bouyeri. And a drawing replaces the Danish cartoon which was used without the permission of the cartoonist.
