MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Storms that stretched from Memphis to Nashville have killed at least eight people and injured up to 60 - demolishing buildings, flipping vehicles and bringing down a large wall at a shopping mall.

Two died in a home near Jackson, three people were killed when a roof collapsed at the DSC Logistics warehouse in Memphis, a man was killed in his car in Fayette County and two others died in Hardin County east of Memphis.

Lt. Keith Staples of the Memphis Fire Department said police are still investigating whether there's more fatalities at the scene of the warehouse roof collapse.

About 13 people in Memphis were transported to the hospital and two were critical.

Hospital officials say up to 60 people have been injured by the storms, and most of those were reported in the Jackson area, about 75 miles northeast of Memphis.
