From the Creek to Comic Books
Posted by Clint Morris on February 25, 2005

"Cursed" victim Josh Jackson got talking to UK's TRL about missed opportunities, looming opportunities and, squeal girly squeal, whether Pacey will ever return.

Jackson confirmed reports that he was up for "Batman Begins" before Chrissy Bale snagged the part. "But, I've got to say of all the guys they got in, he's (Christian Bale) a really good Batman. I don't think I'm scary enough to be Batman".

Though Batman is his favourite super-hero, he'd be keen to play "The Silver Surfer" is given the chance. "He would be my favourite...he can do whatever he likes", he says.

So would Jackson do a "Dawson's Creek" reunion movie? "Only if things go horribly wrong", he laughs. "It works as an episodic show but I don't know what you'd do as a film. It's a character story, not a plot story, so there's no reason to make it into a film"

Jackson did confirm rumours of a "Pacey" TV series spin-off though, and although he hasn't been approached, stresses he would want to know about it. "They better let me know", he says.

On a final note, and talking of Jackson, I recently got word from the studio that rumours of a "Mighty Ducks 4" are premature and that Josh Jackson - despite claims - has never been attached to another one. Thankfully, for him too, I'd say.

Street Kings
If you’ve seen ‘’Copland’’, ‘’Training Day’’ or ‘’Dark Blue’’, you’ve seen this. There’s not much new in director David (‘’Harsh Times’’) Ayer’s film. It’s predictable thinly written fluff; a film that might otherwise have went direct to DVD if it...

The production design is good, the performances are good (young Saoirse Ronan, exhibiting the same self-confidence she displayed in ‘’Atonement’’, plays Zeta Jones’s daughter; Timothy Spall is good as Houdini’s right-hand man, Mr Sugarman) and the direction is fine, but...
