C.R.C. Foreign HAM in Czech Lands

In the Czech Republic, Amateur Radio is regulated under Decree 201/2000 Coll. - 'Technical and Operational Conditions for Amateur Radio Service' - of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, dated 30th June 2000. The minimum age for an individual licence is 15 years old.


Foreigners holding amateur radio licenses may apply to the Czech amateur radio license. Send an application with a photocopy of your home license to:

The seat of the Office is Prague: Sokolovska 219, Praha 9, but it is not the mailing address!

The applicant costs are 500,- CZK (approximatively 13 -15 USD).


It is also possible to operate in Czech Republic according to CEPT Recommendation T/R 61-01.

Holders of CEPT licenses Class 1 are authorised to transmit in accordance with Czech class B, holders of CEPT licenses Class 2 in accoordance with Czech class D. See our appropriate pages Czech Regulations for HAM Radio Part - I. and Czech Regulations for HAM Radio - Part II.

Other possibility is to apply for the Czech license in accordance with CEPT Recommendation T/R 61-02 (HAREC).
