Scott LinehanRegular Season: 11-21 Postseason: 0-0 Experience: 1 Career record: 11-21 Pro Career: Hired as the 22nd head coach in franchise history by Owner/Chairman Georgia Frontiere on Jan. 19, 2006. Comes to St. Louis after one season as offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins (2005). In one season, Dolphins went from 29th in total offense to 14th last season as Gus Frerotte had the best season of his career, passing for 2,996 yards and 18 touchdowns. Prior to that, Linehan spent three seasons (2002-04) as offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota ranked second, first, and fourth, respectively in total offense during that time. In 2004, Daunte Culpepper posted the fourth-highest single season passer rating in NFL history (110.9), and the fifth-highest single season passing yards total in league history (4,717). A college quarterback, Linehan was a free agent signee with the Dallas Cowboys before a shoulder injury ended his active career. Background: Linehan was an assistant coach on the collegiate level at Idaho (1989-90, 1992-93), Nevada-Las Veags (1991), Washington (1994-1998) and Louisville (1999-2001). Played quarterback at Idaho under Dennis Erickson (1982-86). The Vandals won the Big Sky Championship (1985) and made three consecutive playoff appearances (1984-86).
