Gastrin Releasing Peptide (GRP)

GRP, also known as Bombesin, is found in enteric nerves of the gastric mucosa. Preganglionic cholinergic fibers synapse on GRP-containing fibers, causing release of GRP, which in turn causes release of gastrin from the G-cells of the antral mucosa.
