SEA 1390 Ph 2 FFG Upgrade
Tenix has been awarded a contract by RAFAEL for SEA 1390, FFG Upgrade Project. As a part of the contract, RAFAEL will be supplying one ES System for each of the Adelaide Class Guided Missile Frigates, and ES equipment for the Land Based Test Site (LBTS), Team Trainer (TT) and Warfare Systems Support Centre (WSSC). The ES system to be supplied is based on the existing RAFAEL C-Pearl Shipboard ES-System, with minor modifications to meet project specific requirements.
The purpose of the ES system is to detect, direction find, track and identify RF emitters. Emitter identification is performed by automatically comparing the measured parameters of detected emitters against an emitter library stored within the system. The detected emitters and identification information is reported and displayed to the ES Operator on one of the multi-function consoles.
Under the contract arrangement, Tenix will be providing engineering services and products for the C-Pearl ES System and associated shore facilities. This includes modifying, documenting and testing the Display and Control (DC) Software of the current C-Pearl System to meet the SEA 1390 specific requirements.
The Electronic Systems Division will also be designing, developing and documenting the external ES system interface simulator software and library generator software. The Division will carry out the integration, installation and acceptance of the ES system shore facilities. It will also support RAFAEL with the integration and testing of one of the production ES systems, and harbour and sea trials of the ES system for the lead ship.
