BREAKING NEWS: Sorting will begin soon for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!

Currently reading: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

We will complete our reading of HBP on 4/30/08 and will close the Lily and Stag Inn for a brief time while we redecorate! But get ready to "Rediscover the Magic" starting May 15, 2008 at 9 a.m. Eastern time. That's when you'll need to be on Platform 9 3/4 for the Reading Group Express to catch a ride to the Inn. We'll Sort on arrival for the next reading!

And if that wasn't enough for you, we've got loads of new, exciting ways to look at SS/PS. It's our first chance to look back at that first journey to Hogwarts with the benefit of hindsight. Plus for the first time, we're introducing "Sidealong Reading," an optional, second book that we'll look at chapter-by-chapter alongside Sorcerer's Stone. Go to the public forum to ask any questions you might have, but if you're interested in doing the Sidealong book along with Sorcerer's Stone, we'll be reading Oracle Quest by Lisa Wright DeGroodt, and yes -- we'll be talking about how both books take us on a journey from the mundane into the fantastic.

Located in The Leaky Lounge, our Lily and Stag Inn Reading Groups feature wonderful, small group discussions in a close-knit, family like environment. The small groups read one book at a time, looking beyond the surface of the text and getting down to the deeper meaning. The rooms are hidden away from public view, so only members of our Lily and Stag Inn are able to read or take part in the discussion.

Each group is led by several discussion facilitators ready to serve you up a wonderful reading experience in a small, friendly and relaxed atmosphere! Our reading group managers, becky920 and HPMommy are there to answer any questions you might have, so please feel free to send them a private message on our Leaky Lounge, or you can post questions in the Lily & Stag Public Forum.
