Al beeno (Corrie Moodie) is a Jamaican dancehall musician.  In 1995 he had successfully opened and performed one of reggae's largest concerts held in Toronto, Canda.  Other performers included Buju Banton, Bounty Killer and Cocoa Tea.  Al beeno's first music video What’s My Name comes from debut new release "The Colour of my Life" and aired 2004.

Victor Varnado is an actor and comedian.  Born in Gary, Indiana on May 15, 1969. He has appeared in such films as The Adventures of Pluto Nash, End of Days, Hacks, A Guy Thing, and Full Moon Rising.  He also made an appearance in Elton John's music video Recovering Your Soul.  In 2001 he became the winner of the Most Valuable Performer award at Montreal's popular comedy festival Just For Laughs.  Currently Victor is working on a superhero film with famous comic book legend Stan Lee.  He has performed character voices for a new video game for X-Box 360.  He is also in pre-production for the action adventure Razor in 2006.  http://www.bestalbino.com

Other Famous People With Vision Impairments

Isaac Goodpaster is a College Football Player.  He received a scholarship to play football at Wofford University in Spartanburg, South Carolina as a Wide Receiver.  He is legally blind with eyesight of 20/200.  He has a hereditary condition called Stargardt's disease.  Glasses and contacts don't help, but once he tilts his head, he's able to see more clearly using his stronger peripheral vision.  He led in receiving last year with 25 catches, 422 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Those scoring catches included a leaping, over-the-shoulder 15-yard grab that put Wofford ahead of Clemson 14-7.  "I just look at myself as any other person," he says. "That's how I live my life."

Joyce Chepchumba is a Marathon Runner.  She is from Kenya and is the first legally blind Olympian to attempt a marathon.  She placed fifth overall, just ahead of defending champion Margaret Okaya, in the recent New York City Marathon.  She finished in 2 hours, 25 minutes, 56 seconds, with temperatures in the 40s.


Marla Runyan is a Marathon Runner and author.  She wrote the book No Finish Line: My Life As I See It.
