New Anne Murray...

I'm going to line up at midnight to buy this just like people did with the Harry Potter book.

Canadian Icon Anne Murray, who has sold over 50 million albums and achieved worldwide success throughout her distinguished career, is set to release a collection of her most classic songs re-recorded as duets with some of the finest women of song. The aptly named Anne Murray Duets: Legends & Friends, is scheduled for a Canadian release in November followed by a U.S. (Manhattan) release in January.

The album offers a wide variety of Anne's favourite female voices including: Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Nelly Furtado, Isabelle Boulay, kd Lang, Celtic Woman, Carole King, Olivia Newton-John, Emmylou Harris, Jann Arden, Shelby Lynn as well as her daughter, Dawn Langstroth. More artists to be unveiled soon.

Anne Murray Duets: Legends & Friends is being produced by one of the most respected and prolific music producers in the world, Phil Ramone (Tony Bennett, Elton John, Barbra Streisand, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel), who has 32 Grammy nominations and 14 Grammy Awards to his name. Songs on the album include such favourites as: "You Needed Me," "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do," "Danny's Song" and "Cotton Jenny."

In 1979, both Anne and Dusty Springfield recorded the song "I Just Fall In Love Again," with Anne's version becoming a hit single that garnered her the JUNO AWARD for "Single of the Year" in 1980. With the blessing of the Springfield family and estate, a version of this song combining Dusty's original recording will also be featured on this package. Releasing an album with this type of sisterly theme wouldn't seem complete for Anne without Dusty's inclusion. They were friends until her passing in 1999.

More details to come over the next few months as Anne begins yet another chapter in her illustrious career.
