£4,000 for the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies

The legendary painting which was the basis of the plots in 'Allo 'Allo has sold at a charity auction for £4,000.

"The Fallen Madonna With The Big Boobies" was a prop in the British sitcom that was forever being hidden, smuggled and chased by the kooky characters.

When the series ended, set designer Shaun Moore took the piece and hung it at home. But he donated it to his local school for a fundrasier where it nabbed £4,000.

'Allo 'Allo was a classic comedy by the writers of Are You Being Served? and full of catchphrases like "Listen very carefully I shall say this only once", "My dicky ticker" and "You stupid woman."

In fact Seven should add it to their Saturday night Britcoms.

Leno lands Rove

Way to go Rove!

News today that Rove doesn't have Jay Leno as a guest - Jay Leno has Rove!

On Monday McManus heads to the US for a series of business meetings and an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Seems a producer on the show is a fan of his work and he's been invited on to banter with Jay. That's quite a coup.

The only week Rove could fit it into his schedule was this week. With the Logies on next week there is no Rove next Sunday, leaving the pint-sized host with some time up his sleeve. He flies out Monday for an appearance which will air here on the Comedy Channel next Wednesday. He is joined on the same show as Dr. Phil and follows Eric Bana, guesting the night before.

Rove's appearance follows chat show host Conan O'Brien appearing today (US time / Monday in Oz) on the show too.

Rove is back in time for Sunday night's Logie ceremony.

Congrats Mr. McManus!
