Tolls on the ED
The ED charge a toll in the northbound direction only. The toll is either $5.00 or $9.50 depending on the type of vehicle and includes GST. The amount of the tolls charged are governed by AML’s agreement with the RTA. For the convenience of customers, tolls can generally only be increased by 50c increments.
Cars are defined as:
(a) motor vehicles under 2.8 metres in height with two or less axles; and
(b) motor vehicles under 2.0 metres in height with three or less axles.
The current toll for a car is $5.00 and any other vehicle not defined as a
car attracts a toll of $9.50
Did You Pay Your Toll?
If not phone (02)8356-2200 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Do you Really Need a Receipt?
No. GST legislation only requires a receipt for supplies costing more than $55. For tax purposes a diary or log entry of the toll paid is sufficient and no receipt is needed.
Your Employer Requires a Receipt
If your employer requires a receipt as a record of toll payment, please provide the above information to your accountant. Using E-Way, the best way to pay the toll and have a receipt is by having an electronic E-Way tag. It is easy and convenient. E-Way will provide fully itemised statements to account customers, saving considerable time and cost in reconciliation of expenses. Statements cover travel on tollroads in Sydney which currently accept E-Way tags (M5, ED, Bridge/Tunnel).
