Cambridge United's Board of Directors wish to continue their open relationship with the supporters and therefore can confirm that the stadium naming deal announced on Monday is worth £250,000 to the
club over a five year period.

Chief Executive Norman Gautrey stated, "The deal should not have come as a surprise to anyone as during my presentation to the shareholders at the AGM this was stated and reported as one of the Board's objectives, purely as a means to get the club back on a stable financial footing.

"It was a mistake on our behalf not to initially publicise the figure but such deals usually remain between the
club and the sponsor. All parties are now happy for this to be released."

The Abbey Stadium will be known as The Trade Recruitment Stadium from Thursday 1st May, 2008.
