Loch Fyne Oysters

Loch Fyne Oysters was established almost 30 years ago at the head of Loch Fyne. Since then, we have developed the brand by marketing the highest quality, sustainably-produced oysters, mussels, smoked products and seafood.

At the Loch, we run a very successful oyster bar and shop that welcomes over 1 million international visitors every year. Our own smokehouse produces award-winning smoked salmon and other products using traditional methods. We also manage the UK’s largest oyster farm and mussel farm.

Yet this is no conglomerate. Loch Fyne Oysters has been owned by over 100 of its employees since April 2003, when turnover reached £8 million. Since then turnover has topped £10 million. Many development opportunities are in process to continue growth.

Our license company, Loch Fyne Restaurant, will open more restaurants in Woburn, York and Newcastle this November, bringing the total in England to 29. A further ten are planned for 2007. We are also opening five fish shop concepts in England in the coming months and by the middle of 2007, our first overseas Loch Fyne Restaurant will open in Dubai.

These exciting growth opportunities represent great profit potential for our owners - our employees. However, we never strive for growth at the expense of the environment and will always remain true to our ethos of sustainability and provenance.
