Cornell’s Eric Pittard gives a glimpse at game prep

Ever wonder what it is like to be a player on the No. 1 team in the country? Well, I was a little lazy this week so I passed the buck to Cornell attackman Eric Pittard. Fresh off scoring the dramatic game winner versus Duke, he agreed to give Inside Lacrosse a special glimpse of two days in the life of a Senior looking to win the Ivy and help lead his team to Memorial day. Learn about a typical pre-game practice, life on the road and, of course, classic nicknames.
Thursday March 22, 20076:25am (Wake up)
We wake up and eat breakfast on our own. Everyone puts on their coat and ties. Whenever we travel, we dress in coat and tie. Many people wear a blazer and khakis—I choose to wear a suit.
7:30am (Bus Ride)
While on the bus, our coaches put on film from the Yale vs. Air Force game to prepare us for our first Ivy League game against Yale in two days.
8:45am (Airport)
We arrive at the Durham airport, unload the bus and check in. Our flight isn’t until 10:30, so I decide that this is a good time to break down the film of our game against Duke. (Read More…)
