We are John and Lee Lane (a semi-retired couple)
of Alpaca Full Moon Farm in Marshall, Virginia. In 2003, after
years of planning and anticipation, we started our herd of
selectively bred grey and true black Huacayas. Learn more about the
wonderful world of alpacas by exploring this website, especially
our version of FAQs and Alpaca Links. If you live
in Virginia or plan on coming this way, you are warmly invited for
a personal farm tour…meet our exquisite animals and browse
through the Full Moon Shop.

The farm is a stone's throw off Route 66 and
less than 50 miles from Washington, D.C. It is an easy drive to
Manassas, Leesburg or Front Royal, and to Winchester, Warrenton and
Culpeper—three areas designated as Virginia Main Street
Communities. Established in 1797, Marshall is one of the many
historic villages and picturesque towns that grace the local area
known as Virginia's Northern Piedmont.

Alpaca Full Moon Farm is situated in the rolling
hills of some of Virginia’s most exquisite wine and horse
countryside. Our house sits on a knoll overlooking the barn and
pasture, with beautiful mountain views on the horizon. We have the
perfect front porch for checking out the alpacas as they dance and
"hmmmmmm" in the field and for watching the full moon scoot across
the evening sky.
