Mixed Signals: Turning Plans Into Action

Posted on January 20th, 2008 in Inspirational by Vegan Momma

Wow, I haven’t seen him in about a week I thought as I saw R walking towards me.

R: “What’s up Opal!” He smiles, “You’ve been avoiding me, haven’t you?”

Me: “No, I’ve been here at the gym almost every day.”

R: “Oh no you haven’t,” he said shaking his head, “I’ve been getting to the gym early so I can work out with you.” “I haven’t seen you.”

Me: Laughing, “I’ve been getting here later so I can work out with you.”

R: Leans back against the wall laughing, “Well isn’t that special?” “We’ve both been changing our workout routines just so we could work out with each other.”

Me: “Yes, and since we didn’t set a time we didn’t get anything accomplished.”

What’s that all about? Last week R and I had made plans to work out together. I think we both can bring something to our workouts. The thing is we didn’t make a plan on when we would work out. The plan was to work out together when we saw each other in the gym. Pretty silly, right? This past week could have been avoided if we had put those plans into action. R and I chatted for quite a long time. Something I rarely do at the gym. We’ll have our first workout this Tuesday evening. That’s a big leap. Why? I haven’t gone to the gym in the evening time in over a year. I’ll also be meeting up with him Thursday morning for an early morning workout.

Thought: I have numerous plans but if I don’t put them into action they won’t take me anywhere.

That’s the name of the website after all however, I’ve been thinking of another name. I’ve asked my family/friends for their thoughts, and I’ll be following up with a few of my blogging buddies also.

One of my goals is to; eventually, open a non profit organization within a lower income area within the inner city. I think everyone should be able to make healthy choices when it comes to food and products they use in their household. It should not be a luxury. I have encountered many people

In my quest to change my packrat tendencies In my post Packrats & Breastpumps I wrote about selling items on ebay. I’m happy to say that everything I’ve put up there has sold. Over the years I’ve noticed that those who marketed their products well, with overly saturated items, did a lot better than people that just stuck their merchandise out there.

I’ll be shipping off a load of items today. I only have one more electrical appliance to sell. My excalibur dehydrator I’m upgrading to metal dehydrator. I still haven’t gotten rid of my daughter’s cloth diapers, shoes, or dresses. I gave a lot of her stuff away. Although I admit I am a packrat. I’m a very organized packrat so everything I had was packed neatly inside storage
