Get a bigger server. My biggest issue at St. Anthony's and St. Mark is that I keep filling the server. The multi-media projects just take up so much space. As soon as the kids get them finished I hoste3d them on teacher tube-but the upload time is horrible when I am uploading 20 plus projects.
My recommendations would be to get as much RAM as you can, a killer video card, and all the storage you can get your hands on. Software can be all opensource-so put the dollars int he hardware.
Your name was given to me as a possibility for your students to submit an article for the Student Corner of the MACUL Journal on how they are using technology in the classroom. I was told your students are involved with a wiki. Since the theme of the next issue is collaborative leaning this could be a very timely article.

Like I said, it was a bit slow going, but it loaded up. Just make sure that you click on Publish Post and not Save as Draft :)
