WATSON NAMED US NAVY GOALIE OF THE YEARRock veteran wins award for first time since 2001 05/07/2008 The National Lacrosse League has announced that Bob Watson of the Toronto Rock has been named the 2008 US Navy Goaltender of the Year Award. The 37-year-old goalie tallied a 78.6% save percentage and a 10.34 goals against average, good for fifth and third in the league, respectively, while playing 825 minutes in net this season. The award is Watson's first in seven years, and third overall. He won back-to-back Goaltender of the Year honors with the Rock in 2000 and 2001.
