It is useful to be able to measure the gain and loss of potential difference (volts) through out a circuit.
1-Connect it parallel to the part of the circuit across which the voltage is changing
2-the plugs with red plastic covers should be placed in the positive terminals (+) and those with black plastic covers in the negative terminal (-)
3-Positive terminals of the voltmeter should be closest to the positive terminal of the power supply.
4-Use the positive terminal with the highest value first .
5-There are 2 sets of numbers on the scale – read the set that matches the positive terminal you are using .
