Milestones in Skye Bahα'ν community:
  • 1989, Nov 4th – First declaration on Skye (Kirsty, aged 9)
  • 1989, Nov 4th – First adult declaration on Skye (Maggie)
  • 1991, June – Election of first Spiritual Assembly of Skye and Lochalsh.
  • 1993, Mar 21st – Assisted in planting of part of the International Peace Forest
  • 1993 – First pioneer, from Skye to the Borders (Dorothy)
  • 1994, Sep 26th – First Baha'i funeral (Edith Manvell – buried in Ashaig cemetary)
  • 1998, Aug 29th – First Baha'i wedding (Kirsty Manvell and Jamie Williams)
  • 2001, Mar 21st – The commnuity of Skye and Lochalsh is divided into six separate areas,
    comprising:  Trotternish [0], Skye West [2], Portree (incl. Raasay) [2], Skye Central
    [10], Sleat [0] and, on the mainland, Lochalsh [0]. ([X] = No. of adult believers.)
  • 2002 Aug 20th – Building of ΐite Sμthe (Place of Peace) at Rubha Phoil commences.
  • 2002 Sep – First declaration in Sleat community area.
  • 2003 Sep – First pioneer overseas, to the Marshall Islands.
