The trouble is many of us living in existing homes can find it hard to make our house a greener place to live. It's often hard to get good advice on going green. Until recently, the main sources of free information have been your own energy-supply company, or the Energy Saving Trust. But if you wanted information on green issues other than energy efficiency, such as saving water or what car you should buy, there was often no one to ask. It's especially hard to get good advice on what renewable energy systems might be suitable for your home, given the inflated claims of some installers.
