Fall One Acts

Fall 2007 Theater Festival

On the weekend of November 9th, 10th and 11th, the Shipley’s Upper School Performing Arts department will be attempting something new. Rather than having our two fall shows on two separate nights, we are experimenting with the model of a Shipley Fall Festival – a single evening where you can come experience a variety of theater.

Pasta Dinner
Only on Friday, November 9
5:45 p.m. –  7:00 p.m.
Upper School Dining Room
Come early and enjoy a pasta dinner courtesy of Shipley.
Email Christine Greenwood to RSVP.

One Acts
The festival will open with a short, bawdy comedy, The Washtub Farce, an adaptation of 15th century French work. Featured next is John Guare’s Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, a one act play in which adults and children collide in their search for happiness.

An interlude will follow, during which refreshments will be provided.

Shakespeare Scenes
The second portion of the evening will be the Fall Shakespeare Scenes, "Remnants of Wit."  Attend both productions in a single night, or only one.

The show opens Friday, November 9 at 7:00 pm, with an additional show on Saturday, November 10 at 7:00 pm, and a Sunday matinee, November 11 at 1:00 pm.
