Actor Warwick Davis
is headed to Indianapolis, and will preside as Master of Ceremonies on the Saga Stage
at the Indiana Convention Center April 21 - 24. Always a favorite with audiences, Davis will interview guests, host question and answer sessions, chat with fans, and share insights into his own extensive film and stage experience. In addition to presiding over the Saga Stage, Davis also will host special guests in the 500 Ballroom
Davis has been well known to Star Wars fans since his career-starting performance as Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi, and in the television films Ewoks: Battle for Endor and Caravan of Courage. The young actor moved to a leading role soon after, portraying the title character in Willow, a film produced by George Lucas with director Ron Howard.
Scores of roles on stage, television, and the big screen followed. Davis played the evil title character in six cult-favorite Leprechaun films, including the two most recent, Lep in the Hood, and Back 2 tha Hood. He has been in each of the Harry Potter films, playing the core cast role of Professor Flitwick, as well as the Goblin Bank Teller in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Star Wars movie-goers saw Davis in several different parts in The Phantom Menace. Most recently, Davis appeared in the multi-award-winning film Ray portraying Oberon, the MC at "The Rocking Chair," a small Seattle nightclub where Ray Charles makes his first attempt at an independent career.
In 1995 Davis established Willow Personal Management, "The Biggest Agency for Short Actors in the World." Recently the company added representation for actors over 7 feet tall, referring to that branch of the business as "Willow Tall."
The year 2005 will be a big year for Davis, and a great year for his fans. Watch for his return as Flitwick in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and for his new role as Marvin the Paranoid Android in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Davis' own film Agent One Half, which stars the actor as "Half the agent; twice the man," is currently in production.
