The FIFA Emergency Committee has decided to lift the suspension imposed on the Madagascan football association (FMF) two months ago, on 19 March 2008, following government interference in the internal affairs of the FMF and in Madagascan football (see en.fifa.com/media).

The FIFA Emergency Committee has noted with satisfaction the decision by the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of Madagascar to annul the ministerial decree of 9 March, which dissolved the FMF and consequently prompted FIFA's sanction against the Madagascan football association.

As statutory order has been reinstated at the FMF and the legitimate bodies reinstalled, the FIFA Emergency Committee has decided to lift the suspension of the Madagascan football association as of today, Tuesday 19 May 2008.
