TRANSPORT of YESTERYEAR

Renault Estaffete

The virtues of the Renault were widely known within its own market, where the introduction of the Estafette version once again promoted the label "made in France" for the home market.

1961 Reanult Estafette

Conceived for freight and to be easy to handle in the city
Designed to transport merchandise from one place to another; its loading area being close to the ground and its ease of handling, converted it into one of the most charismatic light transport vehicles, even the French Police had a flotilla of Estafettes.

The different Versions.
The Renault Estafette was produced in various different versions: short, long and extra high, there were also the mini-bus Standard and de Luxe version with its capacity for eight passengers.

R2130, the first model presented in 1959 with the mechanics of the 845cc Dauphine, working load ñ 600 Kg., manufactured until 1962.
R2131differentiated from the R2130 only in that the working load was reduced by 100 Kg., which allowed it to be loaded and unloaded in ëblue zonesí. Working load 500 Kg., manufactured until 1962.
R2132, of 1962, incorporated a new 1108 cc, 45 hp engine, the same as was in the Renault 8 Major and the Caravelle 1100, it had a working load of 800 Kg.
R2133 This model was identical to the 2132 the only difference being its working load; the maximum acceptable for loading and unloading in "blue zones" is 500 Kg.

R2136 Equipped with a 1289 cc engine from the R 12, and having a load capacity of 800 Kg.
