Foxsports.com.au is back with the ultimate Rugby Union challenge – FOX SPORTS Super 14 Fantasy.

Super 14 Fantasy is so much more than just a game, it’s your chance to go head to head, with you’re your mates, your boss…your wife, as you coach your ultimate Super 14 Fantasy team and lead them strategically throughout the highly anticipated 2008 Super 14 season and ultimately - to victory.

This year we have added a new dimension to the game where you can select a team coach, and depending on the weekend’s results, this may either help or hinder your fantasy score.

Now its over to you to select your ultimate 22 players plus a coach from this season’s Super 14 line up and go up against the best Fantasy players across the nation for your chance to be crowned FOX SPORTS Super 14 Fantasy Champion.

Every selection is vital, with points awarded for (or against!) tries, try assists, tackles and penalties – so choose wisely!

Overall first prize is $5,000 with 2nd receiving $2,000 and 3rd $500. There are also three group phases so you always have a chance of winning some cash throughout the season. Each group phase is worth $250.

Make sure to watch all the games on Fox Sports and tune into Inside Rugby for all the expert commentary and advice.

Good luck and enjoy your rugby!

Squad selection
Each coach chooses their own squad of 22 Super 14 players from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Personalise your selection by choosing a team name and designing your own team strip.

Formations
Choose your starting XV made up of 8 forwards and 7 backs and then choose your seven reserves. You can change your starting XV as many times as you want as long as you choose from within your squad of 22.

Captains
Your captain scores double the number of points he would usually have been awarded for that round, so be wise about who you select. You must nominate one coach from one of the SANZAR Super 14 teams. The coach will gain points according to the success of the coach’s team each week – (see points table).

Substitutions (Transfers)
If you're not happy with the performance of some of your players – drop them!
Each week before the start of the round you can substitute a maximum of 3 players out of your squad of 22.

Scoring
During the tournament, the fantasy rugby players will be allocated a point score after each game, based on their performances in the matches.

Leagues
Your team doesn't play matches against other teams. Instead, each team scores points based on real life matches and competes against other teams in a number of leagues.

The overall league involving all registered teams
A league for supporters of your favourite team (optional)
Private leagues with your friends and colleagues (optional) - 10 maximum
A Public league with other Fantasy Super 14 2008 - FOXSports players (optional)

Tipping
For each game you can tip the result (a win for either team or a draw).

Deadlines
The game is divided into rounds. Changes to tips must be confirmed by the published deadline in order to be active for that game and phase round. You can find the deadlines on the rules page.

Scoring
Points are only awarded for correct tips and will vary from 0 to 100 depending on the number of players who also made the correct tip. The formula used to calculate points is:

100 - percentage of players tipping

For example, if 10 per cent of players correctly tip the result then 90 points will be awarded.

A guide to the number of points which can be earned for each tip is displayed under each potential outcome. These numbers are updated hourly and are liable to change until the round deadline.

Points and rankings are updated after each game has finished.

If a match is brought forward, abandoned or postponed it shall be declared null and void and no points shall be awarded. Any joker played on this match shall be lost.

Jokers
For each set of games you can assign one game to be your joker. A correct tip in your joker will result in the points awarded for that tip being doubled. You can change your joker at any time until the kick-off of your joker fixture.
