McCormick Tribune Plaza and Ice Rink

Located at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Washington Street, the plaza offers visitors one of the best views of Chicago's famed Michigan Avenue streetwall. The 16,000-square-foot Ice Skating Rink will operate through March 16, 2008 (weather permitting).

Skating on the rink is free, and skate rental is available for $9. A warming lobby, toilets and public lockers are also available. In the summer, parkgoers can enjoy al fresco dining at the Park Grill Restaurant. Reservations can be made by calling 312-521-PARK.

The rink is open daily from 10am until 10pm, weather permitting.

The zamboni will operate daily at 11:30am,1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm, and 7:45pm. For directions and parking please click HERE.

The ice rink has a state-of-the-art chiller system that can maintain the ice even in the event of unseasonably warm weather. Several factors would need to be considered before the rink is closed. If you have questions about the weather, please call 312-742-5222 before you come.

The Plaza has been made possible through a gift from the McCormick Tribune Foundation.
