Faith
A Huntingdon education touches every realm of your life—mind, body, heart, and spirit. The College welcomes students of all faiths, believing that ones spiritual relationship is central to identity and should be nurtured and treasured. Huntingdons core curriculum includes courses in Old Testament and New Testament Bible studies and prepares students for a deeper understanding of cultural and religious issues through additional study in religion and philosophy. Lively and engaging spiritual life programs involve students of all faiths and provide opportunities for student leadership. Huntingdon provides a safe environment where you may question, understand the basis for religious and spiritual beliefs, and take ownership of your beliefs.
Huntingdon was founded in 1854 as an institution of the United Methodist Church, and has served the Church and the region for more than 150 years.

Wisdom
Wisdom is defined as the quality of having good judgment; being informed and learned. At Huntingdon, we believe wisdom is best achieved through an education that is broad in both scope and experience. Small classes in a wide range of subjects foster an atmosphere of discussion and exchange—you will know your professors and your classmates, and they will know you. Involvement and leadership in internships, practicum experiences, student- faculty research and publication, work-study, athletics, arts, student government, and clubs and organizations— in the classroom or Chapel, on stage, on the field, on the court, and in the community—will captivate your mind, heart, and spirit. Interaction with faculty and peers both inside and outside the classroom is part of the Huntingdon experience; one that not only informs you, but also enhances your application of knowledge to life, and deepens your understanding of the world.
serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.
—I Peter 4:10
Service
Service is a central focus at Huntingdon College. Huntingdon SGAs student-led Voluntary Action Center receives requests for service help from community organizations and assists students clubs and organizations in responding to the requests. The Colleges own Wheelin Hawks program serves children ages 5-21 who have physical disabilities by providing monthly adapted sports programs run by trained Huntingdon student-leaders. Other trained Huntingdon volunteers play a vital role in the continued services of the Montgomery Area Non-Traditional Equestrian (MANE) program. Huntingdon students have built homes for Habitat for Humanity, tutored students through the Partners in Education program, and raised money or volunteered for a wide range of charitable needs and causes in the region.
