ouch!
We all have our own brand of pain, and it
comes in 85 different varieties. I've been
involved in a few rescue attempts of people
who have jumped for bridges, and their first
thought on the way down reportedly
is--"hmmmm--wait! perhaps there's a way
to work this out"

Holy cow. That's an amazing story behind a
great portrait. Everyone has demons. His won
- once. But he beat 'em and now, even
homeless, he's his own man.

God gives everyone a different
life - and some people get really
really hard lives.
"That's me. Doesn't get
much worse."
If he believes that "God" is
directing his life, and it is random
depending on God's mood (no free will), then
I don't blame him for wanting to end it.

You have such a talent. You take photos of
people who one would normally shy away from
in the street because they are
"freaks" and you make them human
again. You give them the chance to let
themselves be known to others and understood.
I admire you so much for that.

create Mr Zollo often take a while to digest.

I got a real chill reading this. It is scary
sometimes how we hear a story like this just
when we need it most. That was me today. I
have been starting to lose faith in humanity.
But Kevin, and P.S.Zollo have hit me with a
baseball bat. Thank you both, and I will try
to have my own smile for those around me the
rest of the day at least, and I'll listen to
some music and soak up some sun. And smile.

and if you wanna know more about him en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arseface and about Preacher en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preacher_(comics)

Some people are put here to learn. Some
people are put here to teach. Sometimes, you
come across a person who is both teacher and
student. Kevin seems to be one of those,
someone who has had to learn lessons and also
teach as well.
We navigate blindly through space and time,
never knowing for sure what the consequences
of our actions or inactions are until it's
done. That gives us amazingly exhilarating
highs when we succeed, and abysmally
depressing lows when we don't. The true
measure of us is how we bounce back from
those failures and the lessons we take away
from them.
I'm still learning. :-D
