The curtain rises on test day 2008
Sunday 01 June 2008 - 09h10
Engine sounds filled the air in the pitlane early this morning, as the 55 cars were prepared for a gruelling eight hours of testing for the 2008 Le Mans 24 hours. Two sessions, one from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the second from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. are planned.

The track was still damp this morning, and it will take some time before it dries out enough to allow any significant laptimes to be recorded. The 55 teams invited to participate in the 76th edition of this classic race will have plenty time to fine-tune their setups before the start of the greatest endurance race, and give their drivers the opportunity to discover the fabulous 13,629 km of the circuit.

Visitors with tickets for the race have access to the circuit today, while all others can also just purchase a ticket for test day. Those who are unfortunate enough not to be at the track today can follow the action live on Radio 24 Heures (see www.club24web.com).
