Top Movie Based Games
Movies and video games have been working together since the Atari days, but the relationship has more often than not been a tragic one for each side involved. Be it movies to video games (in the case of the infamous E.T. for the Atari 2600) or video games to movies (anything bearing Uwe Boll’s moniker), the track record for game/movie collaborations have been spotty at best. However, a few video games have released that have successfully bucked the trend, offering up compelling gameplay while retaining a faithfulness to their subject matter:

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
While not based on any Star Wars film in particular, Knights of the Old Republic weaved a fantastic story (arguably a better one than the most recent three films) and great RPG gameplay for the best Star Wars game ever.

Spider-Man® 2
One of the best sandbox titles around, Spider-man 2 gives you a living and breathing city to explore and rescue.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
One of the rare occasions that a game is far superior to the movie on which it’s based, Escape from Butcher Bay is a deep and engaging shooter with a great amount of puzzle and exploration elements.
