Making Plans

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

My PlannerMy new daily planner arrived in the mail today! Its so cute :hearttwo: for our mid years resolutions Mirai and I decided to get organizers to better keep track of events and meet ups. Mirai chose a metal covered one with the FMA logo and I picked out this slightly more girly version.

It is made by a Korean stationary company called “Orange Story.” They used to sell this stationary at a store here but it has since closed down. I also got some sheets of stickers to use inside! It has monthly, weekly, note, memo and address sections and my purikura book fits perfectly inside. Now I have no excuse to forget meetings and birthdays!

A Golden Afternoon Tea

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Practising our Bows and CurtsiesI spent today at lovely Miss Clara’s Golden Afternoon Tea baking day. I arrived a little late, as I had to get a lift in the Prince’s carriage as Mirai-chan was too unwell to attend (she is feeling much better now) and when I alighted things were already underway. We baked many delicious treats, provided by our hostess. :cake: Chocolate Mud Cake, Orange Cake, Banana Honey Muffins, Blueberry Muffins, Double Chocolate Cookies and Profiteroles! While waiting for everything to finish in the oven we watched Marie Antionette, as most of us had already seen it once (or thrice in my case) it was nice to be able to have a bit of discussion about the film.

The setting was lovely, as Clara had gone to great lengths to decorate with balloons and even chains of coloured pearls around the tea set! :strawberry: It was beautiful and nibbling strawberries and cakes fresh from the oven is a delicious idea. Skwerlie and Clara made works of art from our cakes, they were almost too beautiful to eat!

Everyone’s outfits were gorgeous! Skwerlie and Ilumiari looked perfect in black and white, Clara was our Alice in BABY blue and Alyssea and Christine were our charming Dandies for the day (with a touch of Clockwork Orange.) I wore my Sweets Check skirt and pink cutsew with my cake and sweet socks.

There are many more photos in the gallery, including a series with the adorable Charlie Marble and a little black and white film (of sorts) featuring Christine, Alyssea and myself. It was a truly enjoyable way to spend the day, thank you Clara for organizing it and everyone who came for making it so much fun! :star:

Skye and Mirai Fly By

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007

flyby-003 Today we had our Fly By, this is a little event we had been planning for some time. The idea was to take a road trip and visit all our local friends bringing them little gifts to show them how much we appreciate them :present: On saturday we baked cookies (heart shaped gingerbread from me, fairy wands from Mirai) and make poseys of fresh flowers.

This morning we loaded them all in to the car and set off on our journey! The weather kept turning from sunny to raining as if it couldn’t make up its mind, but we were fairly cosy in the car. I wore my AP white cutsew and flowercart skirt (since we were delivering flowers) we visited Eugene, who was leaving for a trip to Sydney, Matt who was still in his PJs, Clara who cooked us a yummy breakfast, my Prince who liked the cookies, Alyssea and her adorable cat, Steph who lent us the new Harry Potter Book, Elizna who wasn’t home, Trina and Hew who were relaxing and playing games, Jeff and Emily (Emily had pink hair! ) and finally, after a little detour for bubble tea and purikura - Tahlia, whom we kidnapped and brought back to our place.

It was a really fun day, thanks to everyone who let us disturb their Sunday and I hope you all liked the gifts :star: You can see all the photos of our trip in the gallery!

Cinderella and the Pink Whale

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

Whale! I had such a busy day today! This morning I went to the markets and bought some food as the palace kitchens were nearly bare. I found the cutest My Little Pony cookies! :horse: They don’t taste like much, but they came with a pretty magnet so I don’t mind.

During lunch I watched Cinderella II by Disney, its not really a movie, more a collection of short episodes that take place after the Cinderella story. I didn’t expect much but it was actually very sweet, and they kept to the spirit of the original movie quite well. It would be nice if they made a little series like this.

The Prince took me out for dinner to a restaurant called Orchid, I had delicious black been noodles and the prince had thai chilli chicken which was very hot! After dinner we went to the arcade nearby, took some funny purikura and played games for a bit. The Prince won me this adorable Whale plushie in the ufo/skill tester machine! He’s huge and squishy and so soft. On the way home we had chocolate fudge sundaes and someone called me “Cinderella” which was slightly amusing considering the day’s events. :shoe:

Milky Bunny

Monday, July 16th, 2007

Milky Explores my Dresser This morning I recieved a very special package in the mail, my first Amigurumi! :rabbit: She is a pink bunny named Milky (after her maker) and she is so soft and fluffy! Amigurumi are japanese handmade crochet toys, typically cute animals with big heads and small bodies and stylised faces. I have been admiring them for a while but when I saw Milky I knew I had to bring her home. She has so much personality.

Milky also took a trip to work with me today, stowed away in my bag and snuck out during lunch time to share my teriyaki chicken (which was really good!) :onigiri: She fits so easily in my bag and seems to like adventures so I think she might be coming with me a bit more often now.

This evening Mirai and I went to the city to get dinner, I had Udon (which wasn’t very good) and Tempura (which was) followed by sweet strawberry bubble tea :strawberry: Milky will have her own entry on the friends page soon!

Eugene’s Fairy Tale Party

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

At Eugene's Party Today was Eugene’s Birthday party! We gathered at Hyde Park to celebrate with him and enjoy the theme which was “Princesses & Princes” (and no, actually I had no influence on this) :tiara: I wore my pink Yuki no namida hime one piece, which is like a powder pink snowdrift, my gold tiara and matching Sceptre! This is the first time I’ve carried my scepter and it was fun to have in hand although the Prince kept stealing it. He wore a Prince’s uniform I made for him out of a white jacket he already had. I think he looked like Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid!

There were some amazing costumes there! Eugene was a very dashing prince himself and Trina and Hew were our King and Queen, :crown: looking very regal. We had a Lady of the Lake and a Fairy Princess and Vanessa as a beautiful Marie Antoinette. There were about six different kinds of cake, all of which were delicious and a tarot reader dressed as a witch. I had my cards read and it was very interesting and accurate! :cake:

My only dissapointment is that I forgot to charge my camera batteries so I couldn’t take any photos myself, thus I’ve borrowed these from Eugene, there are a couple more in the gallery. Happy Birthday Eugene and thank you for a lovely day! :star:

BJD Meet Up

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

dollmeet1 Miss Charlotte dressed this morning in her pretty pink frock and long sleeve blouse (it was a little chilly) and put on her black mary janes and white socks. It was the first doll meet in ages so she wantged to look her best and show mk13 how much she liked the pretty dress she made for her! We were kindly transported by Skwerlie and her husband to the heart of the city where we met mk13, Cyndy and Jacinta and their beautiful dolls (Maneki, Little Mei, Naoki, Annoya and a cute pocket fairy who’s name I can’t remember ^^; )

The park we wanted to sit in had been demolished (such a crime) so instead we went to the Supreme Court Gardens and sat amongst the flowers :flower: to talk and play with our dolls. I got to see mk13s two new Blue Fairy dolls and they were very pretty with amazingly detailed face ups! We took a lot of photos and I think now Skwerlie is thoroughly addicted like the rest of us. I want to get a Pullip though! Skwerlie’s Arcadia is so cute :sparkle:

There are photos of all the dolls in the gallery, please enjoy!

Jewels and Literature

Marie Antoinette Necklace I had a relaxing day at home today, as we ended up going out to Karaoke last night and got home quite late. After breakfast I went for a walk to the library, the weather was perfect again, a cool breeze to caress the cheek and warm sunshine to kiss the brow. I picked up “A Darkling Plain” which is the last part of a very good series by Phillip Reeve and a beautiful book on flower lore :flower: I sat in the park to read for a bit and looked up “Daisy” and in summary it said “The love flower; contempt for worldly goods; a favourite amoung lovers, poets and children.” which was interesting and sweet.

In the mail today I recieved this beautiful necklace that I bought off etsy.com from an australian jewelry maker, I love the design and the delicate rose quartz pendant. Its a very pretty addition to my crown jewels. :sparkle:

I spent about an hour this afternoon trying to put together a coordinate for a special event this weekend, I think I’ve almost figured it out now but I will need to do a hair trial tomorrow. I really don’t like curling my hair, its so troublesome. I also have to go to the craft store after work tomorrow to pick up some materials for the Prince’s outfit, I am really excited about making his! He will look so dashing.

Gifts and Outings

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

suiseiseki When I woke up this morning it was so cold! :winter: I went out for my morning walk and it was chilly, I got some shopping done though and picked up my new mosquito net! They sent the right color this time and it is so pretty. Now I just need some more ribbons to decorate it with and I must ask the Prince to help me set it up because I’m not good with drills and things. The Prince bought me the cutest present last night! :present: Its this Suiseiseki Figurine from Rozen Maiden. I love the details in her outfit.

When I was cleaning my dresser today I found a moonstone ring that the Queen gave to me, its beautiful and has a deep blue heart. I wore it out today with a punk lolita outfit when I headed in to the city to meet Tiffy, Clara and Christina. We walked around the city and chatted, took some purikura and tried to win a giant plush pig (we failed ;_;) to end the day we bought cakes from a continental bakery and ate them in the park. Christina bought me a little white chocolate tartlet with a lemon cream center, it was delcious and very rich, thank you! It was nice to catch up with Tiffy who I haven’t seen in a while and meet Christina, I like impromtu outings ^_^

Princess goes to the Markets

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Eye CandyThis morning I went to the Village Markets. It was a beautiful sunny day, and although I slept in a little I still made it there in time for breakfast, which was delicious crepes with lemon, sugar and cinnamon :hearttwo: my favourite. The Markets have grown a lot bigger since I used to visit them and have some cute new stalls.

There was a lot of jewelry, some pearls and gemstones, potted flowers and herbs, crafts an dolls and best of all, the Cupcake stall! They have the most amazing and adorable cupcakes in delicious flavours like lemon cream, strawberry mock cream, chocolate hazelnut and neapolitan! :cake: I bought a couple, a strawberry one and a sugar cake with fondant heart! I also picked up a little crown necklace :tiara: and a cupcake shaped soap for Mirai. It was a lovely way to spend a saturday morning and I hope to go back next month!

Please view the rest of my photos from the day in the Gallery!
