The Texas Rangers moved their Double-A affiliation to Frisco in 2003 from Tulsa, and Rangers owner Tom Hicks and general manager Jon Daniels say they couldn't be happier. "It's worked out better than we thought," Hicks said.

Grand Prairie AirHogs aim to knock it out of the park in opener
The AirHogs and Wichita Wingnuts, tributes to each city's aviation histories, met Friday night for the park's first game. Both are part of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, which also includes the Fort Worth Cats. The AirHogs, 1-5 after their first road trip, expected a sellout crowd of 5,445.
