D is unlike any other executive conference.

Since its debut in 2003, The Wall Street Journal’s D: All Things Digital conference has brought to life the energy and excitement of the digital revolution in an unscripted, upfront and unparalleled way.

Conference creators and executive producers Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher put the industry’s top players to the test during informal but pointed conversations about the impact digital technology will have on our lives now and in the future. The results are critical insights and relevant advice that stay with you well after the conference ends.

The top annual gathering of the digital world will return to the elegant Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Carlsbad, Calif., from May 27 to 29, 2008, for the sixth edition of D. While seats for D6 have already sold out, click here for details on how to add your name to the wait list.

While the complete speaker roster is posted online, confirmed speakers for D6 include Facebook’s Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Sony’s Chairman and CEO Howard Stringer, Time Warner’s President and CEO Jeff Bewkes, IAC’s Chairman and CEO Barry Diller and Amazon.com’s Chairman and CEO Jeff Bezos. There will also be a special joint appearance by Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates and CEO Steve Ballmer, who will share the stage for an in-depth interview just weeks before Mr. Gates steps down from his day-to-day role at the company. And that’s just the beginning.

We also invite you to learn more about D5, which took place May 29 to 31, 2007. One of the best things about D continues to be the caliber of people who participate, and D5 was no exception. It was a gathering of the movers and shakers who are at the forefront of the digital revolution.

D5 highlights included Bill Gates and Steve Jobs sharing the stage in a rare joint appearance to talk about their experiences working together over the years; Sen. John McCain talking about his presidential run; and Steve Ballmer offering attendees a look at Microsoft’s new Surface technology.

The onstage action was only the beginning, though. Ask anyone who had the opportunity to participate … the conversations continued in the hallways, during meals and at evening gatherings.
