Meredith Vieira has landed what NBC News says will be J.K. Rowling's only television interview after the last Harry Potter novel is released.
The chat will air July 26 and 27 on "Today" and on the July 29 edition of "Dateline NBC." The women will chat in Edinburgh, Scotland.
How big a deal is the interview? In a release, NBC crowed: "This exclusive interview marks the first time Rowling will talk about the worldwide reaction to the final Harry Potter volume and the much anticipated and speculated about Potter finale, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.'"
Will the Potter conclusion top the "Sopranos" finale? I hope Rowling didn't pull a David Chase and stop writing in midpage.
