Saturday August 18, 2007

The Friends of Tinnerman/Tinnerman Guide Association is saddened by the news that a great long-time friend of Tinnerman Canoe Base, Mr. Bill Palmer Sr. of Hartley Bay House & Marina, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2007.

He did much for the founding of the French River Delta Association and was a charter member. He will be remembered by the hundreds of guests he entertained and sadly missed by a community which he did much to create.

Mr. Palmer will be greatly missed by his family, his many friends and all who had the pleasure to meet him on the French River. Condolences may be sent to:

On Sunday March 4, 2007, at 1:00 P.M., the Friends of Tinnerman/Tinnerman Guide Association will hold its tenth annual luncheon at the Greater Cleveland Council Scout Service Center located at 2241 Woodland Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. This year, former camp directors, former guides, members of the maintenance crew, members of the current camp staff, and friends of Tinnerman will each present ten-minute slide shows with narratives of their experiences at Tinnerman and on the French River. The one-hour long presentation will portray the history and future of the scouting experience at Tinnerman Canoe Base.
