“If we had not waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed…” — [Dirty Harry]

This will take you to a clip of Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski from his MSNBC morning show. It heats up about four-minutes in. Too often, liberals are so dangerously ignorant it defies reason.

What a discouraging segment. The attitudes displayed in it would almost be beyond my comprehension if I didn’t daily encounter people who hold the same, pseudo-intellectual, moral equivalent beliefs. Have these people never been in the presence of evil? How coddled must one be to reach middle-age with their level of ignorance of human nature?

It’s akin to the sentiment (and it is sentiment not logic) behind the recent Sup. Court decision giving habeas corpus to POS terrorists and that terrorism is a criminal justice problem (John Kerry and Obama among others). If we capture — not kill — Osama bin Laden and he gets habeas corpus — does he get the presumption of innocence? We will pay for him a lawyer. What if the evidence isn’t beyond a reasonable doubt and he gets acquitted? Double Jeopardy anyone? What if the evidence is acquired outside of 4th Amendment requirements of warrants, probable cause, etc.?

Granted those things are not yet included in habeas corpus per se, but why stop at habeas corpus? There is no logical reason given Kennedy’s logic to stop there — 5th Amendment Due Process is part and parcel of all that.

The kicker… if Liberals think Osama bin Laden is a criminal and not a national security threat, then isn’t it murder to try to kill him? We don’t hunt and kill gang bangers, meth dealers or rapists. Under their own logic killing Osama bin laden without first trying to arrest him would be excessive force and murder.

They are idiots — plain and simple. They are dangerous and should not be given control of the ship of state. Our national anthem might become “Nearer my God To Thee”
