 Limbo Of The Lost Review
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:27 AM
Category: Adventure

Graham Clifford of Boomtown reviewed Limbo Of The Lost, the adventure game that is no longer in distribution due to it containing various stolen game assets.
Limbo of the Lost also suffers from poor voice acting with much of it feeling forced and uninspiring. I never really felt connected to Captain Briggs either as the man has the personality of a turnip.
That is all on Boomtown.

I didn't know that a Gothic 3 expansion was being developed, yet Worthplaying has 3 New Screens.
JoWood is working on the expansion and the feedback from fans is extremely important to the developer of Gothic 3 - Forsaken Gods. The game designer and developer are studying the Gothic message boards each day and will incorporate as many of the fan-wishes as possible while working on the extension.
So if you're a Gothic fan, go have a look at the Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods Screens. Interesting fact: they haven't revealed who is developing the expansion.

You can also get the Creator on the Spore site, Gamer's Hell and Computergames.ro.

Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:23 AM
Category: Movies

I read this morning on IGN that Robert Downey Jr, might star in a film called Cowboys & Aliens.
Based on Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foley's graphic novel, the long-gestating project mixes sci-fi and western genres with a story about a spaceship interrupting an old west battle between the Apache and western settlers.
That's all on IGN.

 Hulk Film Review
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:39 AM
Category: Movies

A visit to CNN reveals this particular Hulk movie review.
Edward Norton takes over as scientist Bruce Banner, a choice that plays up the Jekyll and Hyde theme, and which capitalizes on the actor's track record as dual personalities in films such as "Primal Fear" and "Fight Club." (Norton reportedly had a hand in the script too, though the prolific Zak Penn has sole credit on screen.)
Take a look at that Hulk movie review.

Limbo Of The Lost Full Of Stolen Game Assets
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:53 AM
Category: Developer

The buzz on Shack News and all over gaming sites is that the adventure game, Limbo of the Lost contains stolen content from Oblivion, Morrowind, Thief III, Unreal Tournament 2003 and 2004, Black & White 2, Diablo 2, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and the Spawn movie. The publisher, Tri Synergy responded to the whole thing by announcing that they will immediately discontinue sales of the game.
"At no point during our dealings with Majestic Studios...did we have any knowledge of these similarities," the company wrote. "We have contacted the developer, Majestic, and are anxiously awaiting their response. As soon as we know more on this matter we will issue another statement."
Read more right here and view several screenshots that show comparisons of Limbo and the games they stole stuff from.

 Mass Effect Interview
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:15 AM
Category: Role Playing

Nick Breckon of Shack News took the time to talk with Albert Reed of Demiurge Studios about the recent PC port of Mass Effect and game piracy.
We worked really hard to get the min sepc down to something that we felt that would be accessible to as many people as was possible. We think we have nice modest system requirements, but also, if you can get one of those 30 inch, 8-bajillion pixel monitors, it looks incredible.
Go look at the rest of that article.

 Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Screenshots
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:36 AM
Category: Role Playing

While taking a look on Worthplaying I noticed they have 13 new screens from Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.
Featuring six diverse and in-depth characters, each with their own distinct gameplay style. SACRED 2 will offer the player two different campaigns; one in the Light, the other in Shadow. The chosen path will influence the reception of the player in different environments; a city which welcomed a good character is likely to be hostile towards an evil one. Learn stunning fighting techniques and sophisticated spells. Collect a huge variety of weapons and objects and enhance the character's attributes to create a unique, personalised hero.
The RPG is being developed by Ascaron Entertainment and if what I read is right the game should be out in September. Also hit the Sacred 2 site for more info and stuff.
