Jeev Milkha Singh of India parred all 18 holes of his final round yesterday to win the Austrian Open in Vienna by a stroke. A closing 71 for a 15-under three-round total in the weather-shortened event left Singh one shot ahead of Britain's Simon Wakefield.

Hacker: At last, time for golfers on the fringes to enjoy the fairer way
Sunday, 8 June 2008
'Hackers of the world unite – we've nothing to lose but our balls.' That's the title of a book I've been intending to write for some time, but it will do as a clarion call for the time being.
Harrington fights himself
Sunday, 8 June 2008
If the build-up to this year's US Open has confirmed anything, it is merely that the game revolves around Tiger Woods with a sun-like dependency. Following a full month of "will he or won't he?" recuperate from knee surgery in time to show up at Torrey Pines this week, there can be no doubting that Woods is the game's life force. When he decides to call it a day and stops turning, then so too, in all probability, will the world of golf.
Woods and Mickelson go head to head at US Open
Friday, 6 June 2008
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will play together for the first two rounds of the US Open at Torrey Pines next week, a decision by the United States Golf Association to create equal footing for the highest-ranked players, but one that could turn the course into one big traffic jam. Woods and Mickelson, No 1 and 2 in the world, will be joined by the No 3, Adam Scott.

England's Justin Rose came up short yet again as Kenny Perry joined Tiger Woods as the only three-time winners of the Memorial Tournament here yesterday. Rose finished two shots behind the American after a one-under-par 71 and shared second place with Perry's compatriot Jerry Kelly, Mike Weir of Canada and Australia's Matthew Goggin. Rose's compatriot Luke Donald tied for sixth place on two under.
Strange finds race for first tour win puts head in a spin
Sunday, 1 June 2008
Scott Strange was relieved not to collapse and be sick as he retained the lead in the Wales Open throughout the third round at Celtic Manor yesterday. The 31-year-old Australian managed a two-under-par 69 and saw his advantage cut from four to three, but it was a dizzy spell that was foremost in his mind after he finished.

Strange day as Australian lords it at the Manor
Friday, 30 May 2008
Australian Scott Strange played the second half of Celtic Manor's new 2010 Ryder Cup course in just 28 strokes yesterday to lead the Wales Open. The 31-year-old from Perth birdied all but two of the nine holes for a brilliant eight-under-par 63 which put him one ahead of Italy's Edoardo Molinari after a day that had begun with a 105-minute fog delay.
