Flinders University was established in 1966 and takes its name from British navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in 1802.

Regional and interstate locations : Port Lincoln, Renmark, Mt Gambier, Warrnambool (Victoria), Darwin and Alice Springs (Northern Territory).
